Want to avoid high water bills this summer?

The combination of rising water rates and hot, dry weather can create an unwelcome surprise in your next water bill.  Let us show you how we've helped others keep watering costs under control while maintaining a lush, green landscape.

Practices that can increase the efficiency of your lawn sprinkler system include:

• Installing an automatic controller with water-conserving functions, including multiple start times (allows several smaller, more precise watering times), multiple independent programs (allows several smaller, more precise water schedules), rain delay (allows user to pause operation when irrigation isn't needed) and water and pause (applies water at a rate that soil can accept).

• Dividing your system into irrigation zones based on plant types.  Different types of plants require different amounts of water.  With separate zones controlled by separate programs on a controller, you can divide the watering schedule into smaller, more precise watering times and apply only the water needed for particular plants.

• Installing drip irrigation for non-turf zones.  Drip irrigation systems deliver precise amounts of water slowly and evenly at the plants' roots, eliminating water run-off and overspray.

• Setting sprinkler to water early in the morning.  Early in the morning is the most efficient time to water because water can reach its destination without evaporating from the sun or being blown away by the wind.

New technology has been introduced over the last two years that can dramatically increase the efficiency of a typical lawn sprinkler system.  New water-saving features include:

• Climate-sensing system controllers that use an on-site weather station to determine when watering is needed and how much water is necessary.  No over-watering or under-watering, eliminating waste.

• Super-efficient sprinkler heads that regulate water pressure to ensure optimal water application.

• Matched precipitation rate nozzles that provide the most uniform watering rate, eliminating gaps and reducing usage.

• Other water and energy-efficient devices, including automatic shut-off devices that measure rainfall and delay sprinkler operation accordingly.

Your existing system can be quickly and easily upgraded by our trained technicians, all for less than you might think.
